NES e-Portfolio
Have you transferred all your NES data?
Our deadline for transitioning to the new ICM Curriculum, ensuring you had downloaded all your data from the NES portfolio and uploaded evidence to your LLP account was 31 January 2021. If you have not done this by now, your upcoming ARCP is likely to be affected.
We need to be made aware of any doctors that have not yet accessed their old NES data (those OOP or on or just returning from any long-term leave) as we need to understand how many people are yet to do this as it will not be possible to access this data past 31 August 2022 when our contract with NES portfolios ceases.
Likewise, we also need to be made aware of anyone who was meant to CCT by 31 August 2022 but has had their training extended for any purposes. These doctors will not have had an LLP account created for them as it was assumed they would not need to transition to the new curriculum and LLP. If any doctor is in Stage 3 in the NES portfolio has had their CCT extended for any reason past 31 August 2022, then please let us know so we can formulate a plan of action for these individuals.
We asked all doctors moving over to the new FICM LLP (i.e. all those in Stages 1 & 2 and any Stage 3 doctors that have specifically requested to be moved) to download their historical data from the NES platform by 31 January 2022. If you still haven't done so please contact us.
The first Intensive Care Medicine ePortfolio was developed with NHS Education for Scotland (NES). We moved our ICM Portfolio to the RCoA's Lifelong Learning Platform (LLP) in August 2021.
Please see below to access the NES ICM ePortfolio system and for guidance on its use.
Please note that the NES ePortfolio is for trainees on the 2010 standalone ICM CCT (either single or dual programmes). It is not suitable for trainees on the previous Joint CCT in ICM.
If you already have a NES ePortfolio login and username (for example as a Foundation trainee or trainer) then please contact the Faculty so that your ICM role can be added to your pre-existing account. This will mean that you do not need to log in and out of the NES system in order to access your different roles within it.
If you have queries or problems with using the ePortfolio, please consult the guidance manual first. If that does not solve your issue then please do not hesitate to contact us.

It is your responsibility to ensure that all data you submit is correct and it must not include any data from any other organisation(s) other than those that the registered user has legitimate access to.
Users should only be able to see their own data or data for trainees that they have supervisory or assessment responsibility for. If a user detects what he or she believes is a breach of security or confidentiality then it is their responsibility not to disseminate the information obtained and to report the event immediately to contact@ficm.ac.uk.
Users will be logged out of the website after a period of inactivity. However, users should log off before leaving computers or mobile devices unattended.
